In an effort to continuously improve the experience we are enhancing the tutorial integration for our new stores. Over the past few months, we’ve received multiple notes that the pop-ups sometimes show up unexpectedly.
The enhanced integration will associate the tutorials with your email address, rather than a browser, which will resolve the tutorials showing up unexpectedly.
What can you expect?
When this is publicly rolled out on July 28th, 2021 each user of a store that is less than 90 days old will see the tutorial pop-ups.
Why would I see the tutorial again, if I’ve already completed it?
The enhanced database implementation requires the system to show the tutorials in order to associate the account with an email address.
Will my store see the tutorials again?
Can I manually turn off the tutorial guides?
At this time there is no option to turn off the guide. The best way to complete this is to go through the modules listed below and exit out of the guide when it initiates.

- If your store is older than 90 days, then it will not display the tutorial guides
- If your store is less than 90 days old, then it will display the tutorials
- Both Shift4Shop merchants and paid plans
Can I manually turn off the tutorial guides?
At this time there is no option to turn off the guide. The best way to complete this is to go through the modules listed below and exit out of the guide when it initiates.
- Orders - overview, edit orders, phone orders,
- Customers - overview, edit functionality, detailed customer records
- Products - overview, product lists, adding new products, product categories
- Orders
- Payment
- Shipping - overview, connecting to shipping carriers
- Site Content - homepage, logo, themes and styles, terms and conditions, design
- Store Settings
