Earlier, Shift4Shop was impacted by a technical issue that caused intermittent loss of connectivity to some Shift4Shop websites and email services. Specifically, these problems resulted from an abnormal increase in traffic to our DNS server, which is responsible for mapping your domain name to your shop.
As a result of the technical issues with the DNS server, many customers experienced intermittent downtime, slow site response times, or an inability to access email.
While the issue has been resolved, we are closely monitoring the situation and taking steps to ensure it does not happen again.
