    Dear merchants,
    We have received reports of merchants unable to checkout using Square as a payment method from checkout. We acknowledge that it is a critical issue and we are working with Square to determine what the cause is as their endpoints are down.

    Meanwhile, if Square is the only payment option available on your store - please enable Shift 4 Processing so that your customers can continue to checkout and you can avoid any down time.

    We apologize for the issue with Square and we will have a follow up communications regarding this issue as we learn more.

    Dear merchants,
    We have an update on this issue. Square has deprecated the integration method used by Shop resulting in the outage. We have developed a fix using their new SDK functions and this is being hot fixed and deployed to stores today. Starting tomorrow you should be able to re-enable Square in the store and start accepting payments.

    Some templates will require manual modifications due to usage of a html5, legacy or modified template. If you enable Square and still are not able to transact payments, please contact our support team so that we can manually edit your template for you with the correct code.
