We know that many of you use tools like newsletters and promotional emails to engage your customers and increase sales, especially around this time of year. When sending emails to your customers or prospects, please make sure to adhere to the Shop SPAM policies which can be found here.
Shift4Shop and our email providers take SPAM very seriously and unsolicited commercial emails sent from our servers will put not only your Shop but also your fellow merchants’ Shops at risk of being suspended for SPAM violations. Service providers monitor for red flags like blacklisted IP's and reports of unwanted emails and we have been warned of increased activity on both of these fronts.
We will contact merchants who are flagged based on complaints so that you can review and revise your newsletter list. For Shops that continue to violate the policies, the newsletter module may be suspended without further notice to protect Shift4Shop and other merchants. A guide for best practices can be found here.
