Removing images from the image gallery

I'd like to upload a new image gallery database that removes some of the images. We were including some 250x250 and 500x500 images, but the larger images just seem to be causing problems. The idea now is just one larger image for each product.

If I just delete those larger images and then upload the database, will the missing images be removed from the image gallery for that product?

Looks like there isnt many people using that yet...most stores still only use the image1-4.

To answer your question, when you do an import it erases the images first, then imports the new data. (Unlike the product import where you can have it just update). So your best bet is to do an export, erase any images you dont want, then run an import with that file.

I was afraid I'd get duplicates of the images already up there. I guess that's not a concern.
