  • Preventing store emails from flagged as SPAM

    A lot of our customers don't recieve our emails. Our source email address comes from "sales" so we think that is part of the issue. How do we prevent our cart generated emails from not reaching our customers? Do others have this issue? We prefer to communicate with customers via email as it is less costly than telephone.

    I have this issue as well. The newsletter emails get flagged as spam - even when sent to myself they get marked as spam by my ISPs spam filter.

    Very frustrating. I even sent a newsletter that had no sales content - just a paste of a news clip and it saw it as spam - so it must be something in the headers that is getting caught.

    3dcart - any ideas?

      Content is the #1 reason.
      If you copy paste malformed HTML, or, the entire email is just a giant image. 9 times out of 10 it will be categorized as spam.

      If it does get categorized as spam, and you managed to get a copy of it, look nt he headers, most spam programs update the header to specify why they think of it as SPAM...
