  • Error message question

We seem to get this error message several times per week in our abandoned carts:

"The name "#2" is not permitted in this context. Valid expressions are constants, constant expressions, and (in some contexts) variables. Column names are not permitted."

Does anyone know exactly what this means? It doesn't happen with the same customer each time, and I'm not sure what the customer is trying to enter to create this error.

Still getting these errors . . . anyone else?

Do you have the pound sign (#) in your product name? I wonder if that's messing things up. If so, test it and see if you get the message, then remove it and see if it fixes it.

Just an idea. If that's not it, write to support.

No, don't have the # sign anywhere!

          # can be used as an anchor for javascript calls. can you trace where that abandoned cart user surfed to last? Then perhaps on that page look for javascript calls like if it is the checkout page where you change the country to a different country it then changes the state field from a drop down to a text input. perhaps they are not seeing their country in your list?
