I'm not positive, but I think the global right and left banners are coded into the frame and I don't think you can remove it from one set of pages without removing it from all pages. Not sure this is right, maybe somebody else will chime in and help. Good luck.

Sorry for being dense but I'm just trying to logic this out.
Doesn't the [frame_manufacturer] and [frame_byprice] just refer to the actual blocks of code that says Browse by manufacturer and Browse by price?
I'm trying to figure out how when home.html or category_*.html is called, frame.html knows to disable the right column.
But when search_group.html is called, frame doesn't know to disable the right column.
Manufacturer and byprice both use search_group.html right?

Yep, tried it, doesn't work.
Just can't seem to get it working.
I don't know how to modify search_group.html to send a message to frame.html to not show the right bar.
Or however it works.
Checking and unchecking the hide right bar doesn't actually change home.html so something is in the middle controlling it.
Arrrrghhh.... 4 hours and nothing.
