Help Setting Up Google Feed

I am kinda new to 3dcart, and could use a little help understanding and fixing the errors I am getting via our google base feed. Below are the errors I thank you in advance for any help you may give.

I am having the exact same problem. I can't seem to find instructions on how to customize the feed.

Been getting the same exact errors and have been resubmitting a four month old feed with new dates.

Finally got it to work last week.

Save it as a tab delimited text file. NOT COMMA which is what I've been doing.

I think I saved it first a csv but not sure but when I took the same exact file and save as tab it worked.

The date will be formatted as x/xx/2011 instead of 2011/xx/x. ignore it and submit it as is

Yes, it should be tab deliminated. If you're using a Mac, save it with the MS format, not the default.

Here's what I do:
1. Import into excel
2. name the columns as:
link, title, description, image_link, product_type, id, price, brand, condition
3. I leave the year off. Google adds it on mine.
4. save file as google_base.txt (Mac uses should save as Windows formatted text. Format: tab deliminated Text (.txt)
5. Manually import to Google base.

May not work for you, but that's what I do.

How do you import this file into Excel? Each time I click "generate feed", "click here to download the export file", a new tab opens up in Firefox with the url "https://www.macdimms.com/assets/exports/file.txt". Do I need to download this file via FTP?

I know that looks confusing but the point I'm trying to make is that even though I choose "tab delimiter" everything is separated by commas. What I have been doing is copying and pasting the text from the new tab that opens up and pasting into notepad, saving the file and then uploading. Errors, errors, errors. :( This is confusing. Can you or anyone help?

Hi Byron. Sorry for the delayed response. It appears from another thread that you got your answer. If not, let me know. If you have a Mac, you may have a couple extra steps.
