Slow loading pages

:mad: Is anyone else having similar issues. Both the front end (what the customer sees) and the back end (admin) are very slow loading today. It seems to have happened before to me but not very noticeable. and now toady is a noticeable difference.

Also does anyone know if the page (front or back end) are loading slowly and taking longer to load, does that cause you to eat up more bandwidth??? I seem to almost always be going over on my bandwidth, but I am not seeing increased business relative to the increased bandwidth.

We hadn't had any problems today until the past 45 minutes or so, and then things got really slow. It seems better now, though. When we run slow, we usually run a speed test here: http://www.webpagetest.org/ and if the results are less than satisfactory we will submit a ticket with the test results so support has something concrete to see.

Are both great tools to check the speed of your store, they are both external tools, running from different locations, so if the speed of your store is slow, but fast from those, then, you may have a local or ISP problem.

We use both of those to troubleshoot issues all the time.

Typical first time load should be less than 10 seconds (depends on how many images you have etc. Most stores are in the 3-5 second range).

Brassandsilver, thanks for the tip and the link. I did a speed test and the result was: Fully Loaded (7.092 sec) . I am not super tech savy so any help on the results are appreciated. Here's my website: www.sunshinedaydream.biz

I hate to say this, since I signed up with 3d to get away from a platform that is slow on a daily basis and has almost daily down time but I have noticed my site is slower the past few days and today its really bad. 20-30 seconds for pages to load. This greatly scares me.

Sunshine Daydream, your site had good load times when I looked at it. Mine is back up to speed again too, so whatever was happening must be resolved.

rburton, did you call support? We had a period of time late last year when that happened to us, and they reset our server which fixed the problem immediately. Aside from that time our speed is usually good, so in my experience that isn't the norm for 3dCart at all.

Didnt call support, I'm not live yet so not a huge issue. It it persists I will call them. I did add Stats and read somewhere that might cause some slowness. I know its not the norm. Thats why I'm here.
