I am entering products into my new store and I have started having some images coming in very blurry. I do all my own pics, and they are not blurry until I load them here. Other pics that were taken on the same day may load clear, no problem. I'm baffled.

Do the images as a bulk upload. I haven't had any problems with them that way and you can create the thumbnails right then.David

I have tried renaming the file, I have uploaded the image through the file manager and it seems to come in ok, BUT when I add it to the product image it resizes the whole file. So it take the original image that came in a 291 KB and shrinks it down to 11 KB??
So far it has done it on 2 products and won't change.
I have seen that others need to clear their cache. How do I do that here?
Thanks

Try deleting the file and then bring it back in. It doesn't overwrite the picture some times.David

I have tried deleting the images and starting all over. It does the same thing. Maybe it is something in the product listing. Maybe I need to make a new product listing all together.
Yes, thanks for the directions to "cache". The cache button is checked. Does that mean it is always clearing?

Checked means cache is enable. Uncheck and select clear cache. I doubt that has anything to do with the picture. eMail me the original picture and I'll look at it. Go to my PS store and use the email address.David

David , there is nothing wrong with this image it is approx same size as all others. I removed everything, changed the file name, cleared the cache and reloaded it. It was resized from 291KB to 11KB all by itself. I did the loading through the file manager. I didn't even get the chance to load it on to the item detail page.

What I do notice, the one communality, is that all of the images, that this happens to are baby dresses. So they may be shorter and wider then the others. I loaded a random different dress image and it loaded just fine.
So is dimensions of the image a problem?

Ok, that is the problem. In the product detail, it doesn't like images that are wider then they are tall. Is there a way I can override that?

I load images all the time that are wider than they are tall. What are the default sizes that you have set in the store.
Settings; General, Store Settings
Send me the picture so I can upload it into my store and see what it does in my store. It may be a settings issue.David
