Quick View Code - I'm Lost

I got the KB article and added the code to my frame.html - then after getting completely lost I contacted support and they said "Oh - the KB article is wrong - where it refers to product LISTING page - it should refer to the CATEGORY pages"

So - I went there. The change I made was in February of 2009 to force the customer to always go to the product listings page and change the words ADD TO CART to VIEW DETAIL.

Jimmy helped me with it and it was a change to I think just one line.

Later Jimmy helped me remove the thumbnail.asp code because I was convinced it was the reason my bandwidth was spiking.

I haven't touched it since 2009 and all is working well - but of course I can't use any of the new features.

Would anyone be wiling to tell me the exact thumbnail.asp code I need and where I should insert it in my category listings? I'll try to post the code as I have it now.

Arghhhhhhhhhh - this is just embarassing. If this is too much to ask just say so.

I have no idea what to put where and I can't afford to pay support. It's either ask or just forget about V4.0 so I thought I'd at least give it a try.

I think I just need to replace one line to display the thumbnail image - but the KB article just gives a snippet of what that line should look like.

If it is more involved than that - I'll just forget it - I don't want to overstep the 'help' booundaries.

your problem is your not using the thumbnail.asp to generate your thumbnails...

So here is what you need to do:

Change:

The "maxx=100" is the width that you want your thumbnails, I looked at your site and it seems your using thumbnails that are 100px wide. If that's not the case you can make the adjustment to anything you desire... but keep in mind making it bigger then the actual thumbnail image will make it blurry.

Thank you! As soon as I get my orders filled today I will try this. If it works I'll facebook your store today - I happen to love tea but stopped drinking it when we got our Keurig - now I'm drinking way too much coffee.

I truly appreciate your taking the time to look at this. I'm anxious to see what results I get after reading all of the other posts.

Is there a way to enter a comment?

When I was a programmer every change I made had three comment lines.

"Name of programmer"
"Change Date"
"Reason for change"

If I could do this in my templates I would know two years from now what I changed and why.

Well I changed the code as suggested - still does nothing.

I've updated the Frame.html
Turned on the QuickView option
Changed the code as described above

Submitted ticket to support. We'll see what happens next. Thanks
