Call for price?

Is there anyway to change a product's price so it displays "Call for price" or a similar message?

Furthermore, is there anyway to do this within the product import? I just tried doing it but it doesn't work, it reverts the price back to what it was.

Set price to zero or better yet 9999.00 and use the in stock message under inventory options to put "Call for price".

I need a way to do this through product import, though. I probably have somewhere close to 50,000 products that need to display some kind of message in place of the price... Any suggestions?

You can, the field is in the import template to upload products.

Products> View/Edit > Advanced Tab

2nd column called display text

that overwrites the price (hover over the green ! icon)
