Showing Discount on Product Listing Page

We offer a 5% discount and would like to show this in the product listing page ie

Price: $42.99 Save 5% Today! -$2.15

It does this on the view cart page, but we would like it in the product listing page too, anyone know if this is possible and how to do it? Thanks in advance for any input

That is for the Sale price, we offer a discount in the promo section that gives an automatice 5% discount on every product. This shows in the view cart page as [DISCOUNT] I'm guessing there is a javascript that does this. Your code just shows the savings when the product is on sale, but thanks anyway! :)

Oh I see. There isn't a built in way to do this since I don't think it examines coupons until the shopping cart, but you could definitely use javascript to calculate and display a 5% discount on every product page.
