Checkout Issue With Paypal This Invoice Has Already Been Paid For

This past week ive had 2 or 3 customers tell me they see this message as soon as they hit the checkout button on my site, it takes them to paypal and paypal displays a message that says this invoice has already been paid for please contact merchant.

anyone else ever see this and know if there is a fix?

I saw that in the past, and I believe it was a merchant that multiple stores using the same paypal account. Basically the invoice number was already used by someone else and it can process the new order.

The easiest fix is to go into Settings > Payments > Invoice Numbers and increase your invoice number to a much higher value so you don't run into that again.
