"In-store pickup" shipping

I would like to have an "in-store pickup" shipping option. I tried to use one base on shipping zipcode but with it enabled it would break the calculation of UPS realtime rates and other funky things.

Any suggestions?

I use a method based on Value, restricted to just my store's state. So if someone fills out an address in Michigan, on the shipping selection page they will see Local Pick-up at $0 and then the other regular methods at their real-time prices.

The only problem is that occasionally we get people who select Local Pick-up who live across state and did not understand that it meant they had to pick it up at our shop.
