Editing Cart from One Page Checkout

I remember seeing a thread about how to allow customers to edit the items in their cart from the one page checkout screen, but I can't find it. This is a change I really need to make, as there is currently no intuitive way for people to get back to the shopping cart page from the checkout screen, and they can't edit from the checkout page either. Can anyone help?

I remember that thread and used the code in it but noticed it place an "edit" button below each product. It didnt look too professional so we just added a link to the cart page in the verbage above the cart contents.
