adding more category images

we have our store set up with a lot of detail at the category level. I would like to be able to store multiple images at the category. But, it appears that the multi-image module is only available at the product level.

anyone know if it's possible to use at the category layer? or have a graceful workaround? I'm sure it can be modified with the use of custom style sheets ...unfortunately that's a bit beyond my capability.

I've never messed with category images, but I assume the best workaround would be to use an HTML link to an image file that you put into the category header, footer, or description
