Anyone using the Text Options Character Length

In the May 2014 Release Notes:

0514-i005 Products - Text Options Character Length
The product options for Text box and Text Area now include the ability of specifying the maximum number of characters to be allowed on the field.

Is anyone using this? We do not see it in the options. We even attempted to set up a new text option template.

3dCart Support has given us the answer; it is in the info button for the option. Unfortunately, it appears to be available on a per individual product basis and cannot be setup on an options template. You can link the template to the product but will need to specify the setting for each product individually. Perhaps they will change this and give a way to easily add this to old items.

Does anyone have a solution?
