WEIRD Symbols in International Addresses?

I do a fair amount of International business and when I have a customer place an order online I get wierd symbols in the address for the order and have to contact my customers to get accurate addresses in an email where the symbols are not added.

Example:

Address: Drivbänksvägen 106
Hässelby, Not Available, 16574, SE

You cannot print a label with all that crap in the address. After contacting yet another of my customers, this is how the address SHOULD display:

Drivbanksvagen 106
165 74 HASSELBY
SWEDEN

What's up with this? Has anyone else noticed the symbols in any international orders or is just me. I always feel like it's just me when it comes to my webstore anymore

Yes I have seen foreign characters, especially when coming from PayPal. What can ya do!

Support also advised that for some countries they don't support the symbols they use and thus you get the gobbly gook. OK. Close that ticket LOL Thanks for the response
