New, with LOTS of questions

I'm in the process of moving my website from my current host (pappashop) to 3dcart. A long ways to go, but I'm having some issues.....and I think Tech. Support is sick of me...hopefully you will bear with me:)

1) At first I was going to use Paypal Advance (Express) but when I tried that, if you clicked on pay with Paypal on the View Cart page, it doesn't add the shipping to the cost. So then I decided Paypal Standard, but then you can't pay on the website if you want....so now I'm considering 3dcart Merchant Services....does anybody use them and are you happy with it?

2) How do I get the icon for Visa, Mastercard, Discover, etc. to show in my footer and next to the Pay with Credit Card option on the checkout page? I don't know HTML and Tech Support said that has to do with HTML and that is outside the scope of Tech Support...:(

3) I sell personalized clothing - rhinestone and embroidered - there are LOTS of options when you order. If a customer makes a mistake in their order and don't notice it until the checkout page, they have to delete the item from their cart and start all over again....frustrating!

4) There will be more....I'm sure:)

1. PayPal express works just fine. Customers go to PayPal, log in there, then they are back on your site to select the shipping method and then finalize the payment. It works very well, and customers do not have issues with the way it works.
We use a different processor so I cannot give advice on the 3dcart processor.

2. If you want to operate a web site, you'd better well figure out how to learn some html, and a bit of Java Script.
The basics are not hard, and Google is a great teacher. Just Google anything you want, and someone else has already asked the question, and someone else answered him.
Anyhow here is a mini Tutorial:
You need to go to: Settings > Design > Headers and Footers
Then put a table in "Global Footer:

Put the icon-cards.gif image in the images folder, and specify the size xxx & yyy in the table above.

You can add more cells in the same row by adding

<td>text or image goes here </td><td>text or image goes here </td>

or to add a 2nd row, just repeat the row code

<tr><td>text or image goes here</td></tr>

one thing to be aware of, if two rows in the same table do not have the same number of cells (columns), then you have to specify that.

3- Yes, get used to frustration. You will get lots of it. Just look for the positives, there are lots of them.

Thank you for all the great information.....it looks like I have some "learin" to do:)

So far I'm really impressed with 3dcart....I just wish something like being able to revise your cart without starting all over was available.
