Update disabling features

the 4.10.3 update unchecked our Social Bookmarking "enable" check mark. All of a sudden I noticed that the buttons were not showing on the listing page.
Support says:

After pushing the update many features that received updates were restored to their default states

I love updates, and do not mind some inconveniences due to them, however a checklist of things to look for after an update would be very helpful, instead of leaving it to us to stumble on an issue days or weeks later and realize that some check-box was unchecked after an update.
Now I am sitting here wondering what "many features" might have been unchecked on our site!!??
