Does anyone have much experience in using either gift certificates or group certificates? I have been poking at them and unfortunately there is not a whole lot of documentation.
As far as I can tell, group certificates function just like gift certificates but provide a lot more control around:
We run several uniform programs off our stores where a particular client's employees get a set allowance for the year -- which in the past has led us to manually create hundreds of gift certificate codes (or append directly to the Access DB and cross our fingers). But it seems like we could just upload a single file pretty cleanly... just afraid of undocumented issues and restrictions down the road.

- Import/Export
- Bulk creation
- Tax/shipping/promo restrictions
