  • Google and Bing Conversion Tracking Codes

    I have Google Conversion Tracking Code on my site and it works fine. However, I have not been able to get Bing to work. I tried to put it under the Google Tracking but it did not work. I see the Google tracking has end to the script so I am not sure if that is keeping the bing script from working? Does anyone have both codes working on their site? If so, where did you put them and did you have to modify them any? Thanks for the help.

    I can not get the google code to work at all. I have not been able to track conversions from day 1. I am not sure what i did wrong. I tried to even upload my bing feed using godata and it failed so i never tried their tracking code. I am setting some time aside to start fixing this stuff this weekend. We are in desperate need of it!

      I just set up an account with DataFeedWatch and was able to append a tracking code (as created in 3dROI) as a suffix onto the end of the feed strings that are submitted to the various channels. Has been working so far.

        So apparently I did not install the conversion code, or i placed it in the wrong place in the template. I tried to get support to help, but the guy could not tell me where to place it. He tried to have me place it in the checkoutv2.html but then tells me that will trigger a conversion any time someone goes to the check out page. I had already asked him multiple times if checkout4.html was the correct page and he continued to tell me no and link me to a knowledge base article that said it was. after going back and forth 4 times he then tells me to add the google code to the thank you page.... shaking my head and ready to bang it on the desk I asked Isnt that checkout4.html... his reply was yes it is. I wanted to reach through the screen and slap him. I knew that was the proper place before even aking. My real questions was do I put it inside the footer tags?

        So now I know I am missing the code, and I know where it goes. MY next hurdle is getting real data from the code. how do we set it up to tell us conversion total and the invoice number if thats possible.

          I found this: however it doesn't say what the variable is for quantity but it shows [invoice-prefix][invoice-number] and [osubtotal] as variables for the footer of the checkout4 page.

            You have to put any conversion codes in Settings>Design>Titles and Content>Checkout #4.i.e. for facebook we use and use the [ordersubtotal] for revenue.

            <!-- Facebook Conversion Code for Checkouts - XXXXXXXX -->
            <script>(function() {
            var _fbq = window._fbq || (window._fbq = []);
            if (!_fbq.loaded) {
            var fbds = document.createElement('script');
            fbds.async = true;
            fbds.src = '//';
            var s = document.getElementsByTagName('script')[0];
            s.parentNode.insertBefore(fbds, s);
            _fbq.loaded = true;
            window._fbq = window._fbq || [];
            window._fbq.push(['track', '6027964200593', {'value':'[ordersubtotal]','currency':'USD'}]);
            <noscript><img height="1" width="1" alt="" style="display:none" src="[value]=[ordersubtotal]&cd[currency]=USD&noscript=1" /></noscript>
