I'm not sure how to check my site for the number of JS errors -- but ever since being updated to V8 I've seen an issue with my traffic reporting service (Improvely) - they say the site has a lot of JS errors that is not allowing everything on the pages to load properly. Anyone else seeing this?

In looking at this code that now is not working properly -- some of the code includes a blank set of brackets -- [ ] -- when I try to save that code to my Global Footer, the blank brackets are stripped out -- wondering if this is a bug and might be contributing to JS errors.Joe Arbogast

More info on this -- not sure if V8 caused this issue or not, but the issue with Iimprovely started with the upgrade. You can insert code directly into the HTML file under Design -- but using the Global Footer or Global Header sections of the Admin strips out some characters.Joe Arbogast

The Global Header and Footer stripping out characters was present in V7, though maybe not to the extent or with the exact characters you're talking about. Non-breaking spaces - - would be removed any time I saved the page. Clearly there are other characters or combinations as well.- Dean P. e-commerce and small business consulting

Thanks Dean -- I thought you would eliminate that issue if you turned off WYSIWYG mode -- but that didn't have an impact.Joe Arbogast
