SSL Certificate Renew

I need to renew my rapidssl certificate.

When purchased a year ago, I paid $99 and have my entire store covered

For my renewal purchase, there is a suspicious option that was not there a year ago. Titled "Sitewide HTTPS conversion". You can choose "cart and account only" for the base price, or for the tidy sum of $199, they'll cover your entire store.

I already have my entire store covered. Do I really need to select the $199 option to continue with my current setup? Seems very steep when the site is already set up to be covered completely. I just need to renew.

You can read about and do the sitewide conversion yourself. it's unrelated to renewing your ssl but it is advisable due to a change google made

I followed those instructions a year ago to get the entire store covered. The new option threw me for a loop because I wasn't sure if 3dcart was going to withhold coverage of certain parts of my site unless I picked the more expensive option.

Sounds like they are offering to do what is in those instructions for an additional fee.
