Why higher bandwidth for HTML5

Am trying to switch from html to html5, but bandwidth triples when I do. Why is this? Sales certainly do not triple. Pre-sales questions do not triple. Just bandwith.

This is peculiar, because the way the H5 templates are, they only allow 20 photos. Some of our products have 30 or 40 photos, and with the old html template you could see them all by clicking on the image link and they would eventually cycle through all of them. Now with H5 templates, it's limtited to 20 photos but bandwidth is triple?

One thing that changed from the html4 to html5 templates is that Flash was stop being default by alot of browsers, so starting with html5 the image gallery was removed and instead shows within the product page, on html4 we used the flash viewer. So more images might load when you go to the product page (assuming you uploaded more than 4). This is one of the reasons we shifted from using bandwidth as a plan limit and the new plans are not limited to bandwidth. We let everyone stay on their plans for the life of the account, but it might make sense for you to move to one of the new plans that are unlimited in bandwidth.

Ok. Since the new templates are photo-limited, and cost more, is there any plan to have at least one that has more than 20 photos?

Im confused, what costs more? There is a bunch of free Core themes. You can tweak the template if you need more than 20 images (https://support.3dcart.com/knowledge...image-carousel)
