Want sell GIFT CARDS for our physical store, not Gift Certificates for online store

Good Morning! I want my customers to be order a physical gift card that we'd activate and ship to them at the cost of $1/card.
Our regular shipping rule is $5 first item, $2.50 each additional item. If I set up Gift Card as a product, it charges $5/$2.50 for shipping
We DO NOT want to sell online gift certificates. We also do not want recipients to receive e-mails and/or online codes.

You can't set a custom shipping method for a single product unless you get some sort of 3dcart add-on but you might be able to do the following. I believe that the free shipping check box might over-ride your shipping method but you'd have to test it.

a. set the product with dollar increments as the options and set the option prices to $1 above the cost of the item
b. check the free shipping box for the item
c. make a listing template that doesn't display the free shipping block
d. add a note in the description of the item that explains the $1 fee

Thanks for your response! Loved your ideas here, unfortunately it didn't solve the issue. We have a shipping rule for product in which 1st item is $5, 2nd and subsequent items are $2.50 and that rule overrides everything set up as a product, even if it's marked as free shipping :-( Talked to 3dcart and they didn't have any solutions either. Talked to another business using 3dcart for selling gift cards under the Gift Certificate category and they didn't realize the risk of a customer being able to "Double Dip" if this method is being used. The other business now switched their physical gift card sales over to a Product to minimize this HUGE risk.... so, at the end of the day, I helped someone else :-) That's a good day!
