Maximum Quantity Message

Is there a way to tell a customer they are trying to exceed the maximum quantity on adding items to a cart? Right now, it simply adds only the set maximum without telling the customer why in any sort of message.

Following this since it would be helpful for me as well. Right now, I manually type in a message in the description if there is a per order limit atm. Sometimes customers do not see the message though. Even if I do it in a different color.
