Does anyone have the Advanced Search setup on their 3dcart store? I just want to see how it works compared to doofinder.

I've tried but have found that it's only returning a small subset of products for some searches which result in larger lists for the regular search. I've tried re-indexing but that's not helping. Had to switch back to dumb search. So, I guess doofinder's probably better. -
We tried to go with Doofinder, but never got much in the way of responses. Have they gotten any better since about 2 years ago?Comment

If you want a search solution where customer service still exists, then I recommend checking out fusionbot. Doofinder and convermax sucked as far as customer service... Could be a good service, but never got far enough to try their search.Comment

We run Doofinder and are quite pleased with the end result. It costs us about $60 a month and includes the mobile. It is fair to say their customer support is lousy, but it is really straight forward. Took us about 2-3 hours to figure it out and it has been smooth sailing ever since. When I have needed support, (I hosed up an import) it was worthless and took another 20-30 minutes of fiddling myself to figure out what I did wrong. All in we have been running it for 6 or so months. Our customers LOVE it, and it is SO much better than the 3d search functionality. There should be another thread on this where we talked about the search specifics here in the forums.Comment
