Auto ship discounts

It took some back-and-forth with support but here's the skinny on offering an initial discount for auto ship per Dan C.

Our system, by default, will only allow the coupon to be applied to the first order. Upon recurrence, it doesn't even check for valid dates or anything. It just excludes the discount altogether, regardless of whether the promotion is still valid or not. So, it is possible for you to set up an open ended promotion that could be applied to recurring orders and this promotion will ONLY work on the initial order.


Is any one out there seeing traction with auto ship?

We have a very large autoship program that we operate in a different system that I am looking at moving to 3dCart. I am a little concerned because based on what I see there recurring billing module in 3dCart sounds very limited.
