Inventory system recommendation

We are at the point where the spreadsheet, clip board and black pen are not too efficient when trying to manage over 2300 skus. Can someone recommend an inventory system for mere mortals?

Stone Edge is amazing once you get it working. Version 6 that is coming out in 6 months (?) will reduce the learning curve a lot.
