Best solution for wiki/knowledge base?

After some searching I found some (very old) threads about using the Database Feeds system to set up something akin to a site wiki or knowledge base. Is there any better solution that would still integrate with/be contained within the 3dcart site? Specifically, we're hoping to basically add our product manuals, etc., (which are rather technical) to the site using a wiki type format so that the content would be searchable in our site.

Has anyone managed to do this effectively? The Database Feeds approach seems like it isn't quite what we're after...
