Looking to set up chat on our sites - just checking to see who uses what

Why not use the built in LiveChat module of 3dcart? Any problems with it? I'd like to be able to invite browsers to chat. I am hoping this would help the conversion rate.

Do you install olark scripts in a global header, footer or must we edit teMplates? I'm a bit leery of that.
