In the past I had my cart set up so that all products had the button "view details" versus "add to cart" one - changes were made in the templates, store language and I also created a "blank" option in the category wide section so all clicks on the button resulted in going to the product detail page. About 2 weeks ago I did an update on the "look" of the site - colors and background...some minor issues but nothing frustrating until today...I've attempted all day to figure this out with no luck...chatted with live help who submitted a ticket - but thought I'd give the forums a shot.
Right now when you click on the "view Details" button, the item is added to the cart and you are viewing the cart (instead of going to the product detail page). At first I thought I had only an issue on the products grouped together by a search or browse by manufacturer - but then I realized that my search was fine and it was the entire left bar Browse categories that were not working with the "view details" button. However, the confusing part is that ONE product category is working properly (Bracelets) and the rest are not (they are all being added directly to the cart)...so where I originally thought it was something the html templates - now I'm thinking it has to do with the Category Wide options or product options. I've tried editing the options and comparing the one category that's working with all the others with no luck. At this point I'm wanting to take out the button completely but not sure which template and block to do that in...
Any ideas or thoughts before I get drastic?
