  • Reviews quick view..

    I was wondering if anybody can help me do this. I would like to have a link on the top of the product page that simply says "reviews" next to the star rating given by the customers. When that link is clicked, it goes down to the product reviews. Similar to this site: Masahiro White Shadow Katana

    Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Depends on how familiar you are with HTML Links and Bookmarks, you can create a bookmark where the Reviews appear on the template and put a link at the top of the page.

      I manually did this on our site. You just have to tag the start of the revies on your listing template with an <a> tag. Here's the code I'm using:

      Near the top, where the total average rating is displayed:
      <!--START: product_review-->
      <td class="item" valign="top"><strong>Product Rating:</strong> <!--START: product_review_average-->
      <img src="assets/templates/common/images/star[review_average].png" align="absmiddle">&nbsp;&nbsp; Based on <a href="#reviews">[review_count] Review(s)</a>
      <!--END: product_review_average--></td>
      <!--END: product_review-->
      Then down below, where the reviews are actually displayed:
      <!--START: reviews-->
      <table width="100%" cellpadding="1" cellspacing="1" border="0">
      <td colspan="4"><table width="100%" cellpadding="2" cellspacing="0" class="titles">
      <td class="titles"> <a name="reviews"></a>[reviews_header]</td>
      <td align="right" class="titles"><span class="item"><strong>[reviews_total] [totalrating]</strong>  [review_link]</span></td>
      <!--START: user_reviews-->
      See where the <a name="reviews"> is? That's the tag. Then up top, you're creating an <a href> link to the <a name> tag. Easy peasy. :)

            Nice share Piaf
            I don't know the code as we use design software that sets anchors.
            Same concept.
