Not sure when this happened - my best guess is when ups updated their rates perhaps when 3dcart did a recent update? This is killing our business - I've been testing the system this am by oging into ups and placing packages into their system using counter rates (non negotiated rates) and then using our negotiated rates. Our shopping cart now reflects counter rates!
I then went into 3dcart to see if anything changed and tested the connection between our store and ups - the test states everything is good - then I placed a fake password into the ups password field within 3dcart - tested the connection again - connection is good. THIS IS IMPOSSIBLE - there should be an error as 3dcart servers ARE NOT connecting to ups thus all of our shipping calculations are based off counter rates now.
Our discount rates with ups are based on distance and weight since we ship heavy items. This has totally messed up our business - at first we thought dang UPS really increased some surcharges to specific zip codes but then I tested it all over the U.S. and verified that 3dcart is using standard counter shipping rates and NOT our negotiated rates and the link is not linked between ups and 3dcart!
Super ticked this am - why is it that things are always tweaked or changed without us doing anything???
I'll attach the area that you can test for your store - change your ups password within 3dcart by going to Settings>Shipping>Shipping Settings>UPS Show Credentials> and see what happens - you should get an error message - if you do not you will want to go to ups - https://wwwapps.ups.com/calTimeCost?...WT.svl=PNRO_L1 and test an example - take a weight, zip code etc. and use counter rates as a test and see what amount you get - then place your account info and see what rates you get - then head back to your 3dcart store.
Place an item into your shopping cart and enter the same zip code that you tested at UPS - now depending what your markups are with UPS within your 3dcart store you can see if you negotiated rates are being used n your shopping cart.
We used an easy markup number at 3dcart 20% for ground shipments. We test it out and 3dcart is using 20% markups for counter rates and not 20% from our negotiated rates for ground shipments!
We need our negotiated UPS rates to be linked again - system test fails as you should not be able to put it the wrong ups password and 3dcart still states ups and 3dcart linked - it's impossible with the wrong password! So change the field in bill below on your 3dcart store to a bogus password and see if you store states that the test passed with a wrong password. If it does your rates are not be reflected as well!
